Introduction to the Orchard Yard Estate Manager

Rob Macdiarmid, the Estate Manager of Orchard Yard

We are delighted to introduce Rob Macdiarmid, who is the Estate Manager at Orchard Yard.  Rob lives just a short walk away from the estate, in the heart of Wingham – and is a font of knowledge regarding local services, events etc.  A father of three young children – he seeks occasional solace when pursuing his passion for fishing locally at Sandwich and Cottington.  Rob also loves DIY and is currently busy redecorating his home.

His background in retail management has given him excellent customer service skills and his earlier role in logistics management means he is a very good organiser!  Rob’s practical skills are regularly put to good use around the estate.

Since becoming the Estate Manager at Orchard Yard earlier on this year, Rob has made it his mission to build strong relationships with the local community – and has already established great links with both the local pre-school and the infant and junior school.  The pre-school children tend one of the raised beds in the orchard on the estate and the residents at Orchard Yard have been entertained to songs from Mary Poppins, by the junior school children.
