New Showhome Opening 10th March

We will be delighted to welcome visitors to our showhome, which can be found on plot 13, from 10th March.  The adaptable, light, and airy spaces reflect the feel of Orchard Yard, offering easy living and enjoyment to the full. The showhome is the Morisot design of house, and has been styled by Beckie Smith of Neptune, the Canterbury based interior designer.

Beckie explains:

“We wanted the showhome to reflect the lifestyle of today’s retirees – a welcoming family feel with plenty of flexible space: room to entertain the grandchildren, alongside space to accommodate their own passions and interests.

“We envisaged that most new owners will be downsizers moving from the family home. I like to think that you can walk into the living room, or any room for that matter, and that it’s easy to picture your antique dresser or kitchen table alongside what is already there.  We recognise that it can be a daunting experience to think about downsizing, but hopefully our showhome will help purchasers see past that.

“The ethos behind the design of the homes, and the estate as a whole is about discreetly making later life easy. We chose firmer seat cushions on the sofas, and bar stools with back supports. Throughout the home we chose solid wood furniture that has an English country style, and timeless pieces that make the property feel like a home immediately.  While some people will want to bring furniture and accessories that hold a lot of meaning, for others this is a great opportunity to start with a blank canvas.  In both cases we can help achieve residents create the right look, or alternatively, the show home can also be bought furnished.”
